MANUAL THERAPY
Hands-on treatment to improve mobility and reduce pain:
A physical therapist uses specialized hands-on techniques to improve joint mobility, decrease muscle tension, and restore normal movement. Treatment may include joint mobilization, manipulation, soft tissue mobilization, and myofascial release techniques.
Manual therapy is often combined with corrective exercise to help patients recover faster, move more efficiently, and return to the activities they enjoy with less pain and restriction.
EXERCISE
Designing and implementing exercise programs:
A physical therapist will develop an exercise program that is tailored to the patient's specific needs and goals. This may include stretching, strengthening, balance, functional and cardiovascular exercises.
