Dr. Patrick Gorby
Dr. Gorby PT, DPT, FAAOMPT, Dip. Osteopractic is fortunate to call Salem, Ohio his hometown, having graduated from Salem High School in 2007. More recently, Dr. Gorby was inducted into the Salem High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019. He then pursued Division 1 sports aspirations at Kent State University while also completing his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science, as well as a Master’s Degree in Public Health. Following some years working in medical fitness both in Ohio as well as Colorado, he then relocated back home where he finished up his Doctorate coursework in Physical Therapy at the nearby University of Mount Union where he was Class President, graduating in 2019.
Patrick pursued work as a traveling physical therapist in various locations around the country in outpatient orthopedics in order to more fully diversify his skill set and enable himself to learn more from different populations and clinic styles. During this time he was also offered a seat in the 2020 Fellowship cohort with the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy, of which he graduated in 2021 earning an award for “Most Inspiring Graduate”.
Dr. Gorby has a diverse outlook on pain, function, and maintaining physical ability whether you are an athlete or someone looking to find alternative ways to manage a current condition. He believes strongly in holistic care, which is centered around the patient’s true needs and not what insurance companies dictate is reimbursable. This is the motivation for starting GO Physio – to deliver healthcare the way it was supposed to be.
Dr. Gorby has held credentialing as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, Certified Exercise Physiologist, Group Exercise Instructor, Certification in Osteopractic Physical Therapy, as well as Fellow of the American Academy of Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT). This is the top credential in the field of Physical Therapy, possessed by less than 3 percent licensed practitioners. Patrick is also certified and skilled in practices of Dry Needling, Spinal Manipulation, and other various forms of manual and orthopedic therapy.
Most recently, Dr. Gorby the award for Osteopractic Clinician of the Year in December 2021.
In his free time Patrick loves most anything outdoors, running, watersports, as well as the occasional good book.
