Arthritis Reversal Program
GO Physio’s Arthritis Reversal Program is a flexible program customized to each patient that has been struggling to find a REAL solution for chronic joint pain, inflammation, and arthritis. The program was assembled thanks to ground-breaking research within the Osteopractic community proving the effectiveness and safety of periosteal and intra-articular electric dry needling (PIEDN) as a powerful for arthritis. Many find it helpful to understand the science behind our approach and why it is so effective, so we have touched on the basics below and in our blog. Our approach consists of three flexible phases of treatment: 1) Restorative Phase, 2) Transitional Phase and, 3) Maintenance Phase.
Our approach helps patients whose goals are to:
- Prevent future problems related to joint inflammation
- Avoid surgery but have supreme results
- Stop pain quickly
- Reclaim their lives and activities
- Reverese secondary effects of arthritis
Treatment is paired with customized exercise prescription and up-to-date education about “whole body” factors that can influence arthritis. These topics are often not addressed in depth within the allopathic (traditional “MD”) medical system, as that system is geared towards management of existing disease instead of prevention and true healing and disease reversal.
As an active GO Physio patient, you will learn about:
- Nutrition factors that influence bone, cartilage, and tissue health
- Lab tests that may reveal underlying connections of arthritis to other health conditions (typical blood panels commonly miss conditions until they are “full blown”)
- Common mineral deficiencies that impact bone, cartilage, nerve, and tissue health
- Sleep quality considerations that impact general and local inflammation
Phase 1: Restorative Phase
During phase 1, patients receive restorative Osteopractic treatments once to twice per week. These treatments halt the progression of arthritis by inhibiting excessive activity of the main inflammatory driver, interleukin-6 (IL-6).
The primary goal of this phase is to:
- Stabilize and control inflammation
- Restore a normal healing response within the joint
- Regeneration and start to remodel new tissue
- Stimulate increased production of synovial fluid (the fluid inside our joints that lubricates and heals)
- Balance inflammatory activity (IL-6) within the nearby bone marrow
- Stop all “flare-ups” with regular activity demands
By restoring homeostasis (an internal state of balance), patients have greatly reduced pain & improved function. These treatments also stimulate mesenchymal stem cells (yes, we have our own stem cells within the body) to migrate to the treatment site and then differentiate (change) into various types of cells – including cartilage (chondrocytes), bone (osteocytes), muscle (myocytes), tendon (tendinocytes), ligament (ligamentocytes) and fat (adipocytes) for rebuilding the area.
This process takes place WITHOUT the use of injections and has been demonstrated for many years in professional research studies. Our bodies just need the correct boost to re-start the proper healing phases on their own.
Phase 2: Transitional Phase
In the second phase, patients only receive treatments once every week or once every other week. This phase aims to maintain the high level of stability achieved in Phase 1 while patients gradually reintegrate physical activities they may have been avoiding due to arthritis-related pain and limitations in the past. As patients become more active and experience reduced pain and stiffness, they regain a higher level of function and are able to build strength without pain getting in the way.
Phase 3: Maintenance Phase
The final phase of the program is the maintenance phase, which is customized to each patient’s specific needs. This phase involves periodic “tune-up” treatments as needed to sustain the progress made in the earlier phases. The frequency of these maintenance sessions is determined based on individual patient requirements, ranging from once per month to yearly. This personalized approach ensures that patients continue to live full and active lives without being limited by arthritis symptoms.
Through our three-phase arthritis specialty program, we have consistently seen remarkable results in helping patients overcome pain, inflammation, stiffness, and physical limitations associated with arthritis. By following this structured approach, our patients are empowered to lead fulfilling and unrestricted lives, free from the constraints of their condition.
Wow, I finally found somebody that dug deep into my shoulder pain and helped me find out why I've not been able to heal. I really appreciate going through the ultrasound imaging and laying out a treatment plan to finally resolve this pain. I'm so glad I went out on a limb, and I'm the happiest I've been in a long time. Thank you again so much.

My knee is feeling much than it did 3 weeks ago since Dr. Sarah has been working on it with the treatments and therapy she has been using. I am very grateful for her hard work and I look forward to my next session to see more improvement.

Patrick does an excellent job of assessing and treating chronic pain, best neck adjustment I’ve had in Colorado Springs, genuinely appreciate the time he takes to communicate what he’s doing and what exercises I need to do at home while he’s working on my trouble spots.
